Daily Athan is an Islamic lifestyle application designed to provide prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran-related content, Islamic dates, prayer notifications, location-based prayer calculations, streak features, and other Islamic features.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, how it may be stored or shared, and the choices available to you when you use the Daily Athan application.

If you choose to use streak or social features, you may provide:
Passwordless Email Sign-In: Streak features are protected by passwordless email sign-in. When you request it, we send a one-time sign-in link to your email address. Signing in with this link verifies that you own the email address, and your streak data is bound to this verified identity — so your streak is safely restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices. Sign-in links are single-use, expire automatically, and no passwords are involved at any point.
This information is stored on our servers and is used solely to provide streak functionality. You can request deletion of this data at any time (see Section 17).
Daily Athan may store your prayer calculation preferences (such as calculation method and Asr school) and notification settings. These preferences may indicate your religious practice patterns. This data is stored locally on your device and is used solely to provide customized prayer time calculations and notifications.
Information processed by Daily Athan may be used for the following purposes:
Location information may be used to calculate prayer times according to your selected location and prayer calculation settings. Depending on your device and settings, prayer times may be calculated via our backend API or directly via the AlAdhan API when device coordinates are available.
Location information may be used to determine the appropriate Qibla direction for your location.
Your selected location and device settings may be used to provide relevant Islamic and Gregorian date information.
If you use the location search or map picker feature, search queries and map tile requests may be sent to OpenStreetMap and its partners to provide location search results and map imagery.
If you grant notification permission, Daily Athan may send notifications such as prayer reminders, prayer time notifications, Islamic reminders, and other notifications that you explicitly enable. You can disable notifications through the application or your device's notification settings.
If you choose to use streak features, your prayer completion data and display name may be stored on our servers to track your streak progress and enable social streak features with friends and family.
Daily Athan provides Quran content through a combination of local data bundles and third-party services:

Notifications may include Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha reminders, sunrise information, and other Islamic reminders. You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
Some application preferences may be stored locally on your device. These may include selected location, prayer calculation settings, language preference, theme preference, notification preferences, prayer reminder settings, and other application settings. Locally stored preferences generally remain on your device unless you clear the application's data or uninstall the application.
Daily Athan provides Islamic content from multiple sources:
Quran Arabic text (Uthmani script) is provided through the quran package, sourced from the Tanzil Project under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. We do not claim ownership of this content. https://tanzil.net
Quran translations and Tafsir are fetched through the app's backend API from licensed third-party content providers. "Ayah of the Day" translations are served from the app's own backend, sourced via the Al Quran Cloud API from published editions: Fateh Muhammad Jalandhry (Urdu), Saheeh International (English), Suhel Farooq Khan & Saifur Rahman Nadwi (Hindi), and Kemenag (Indonesian). We do not claim ownership of this content.
Translations of the Adhkar (Hisnul Muslim) collection into Urdu, English, Hindi, and Indonesian were generated in advance using AI translation tools and are stored on the app's own servers. No user data is sent to any AI service when you use this feature. Arabic always remains the source text.
Quran audio recitations are fetched from the Al Quran Cloud API (alquran.cloud) and streamed directly from the islamic.network CDN, which distributes the recitations freely for public use. A directory of the recitation links may be cached on your device for faster offline access. We do not host or proxy Quran audio on our own servers.
The Live Quran Radio feature streams from public radio stations provided by MP3Quran.net (qurango.net streams). Radio playback requires an internet connection; no radio data is stored on your device beyond your playback preferences.
Daily Athan also provides hadith, duas, wazifa, and Islamic events through the app's backend API. This content is managed and curated by the app's content providers.
We do not claim ownership of third-party content where ownership belongs to its respective copyright holder. If you believe any content violates copyright, please contact us for removal.
Daily Athan may use third-party services, APIs, libraries, or infrastructure to provide certain application functionality. These services may process limited technical or functional information according to their own privacy policies and terms. Third-party services may include:

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be shared or processed by third-party service providers only where reasonably necessary to provide application functionality, process location-related requests, provide technical infrastructure, maintain application security, diagnose crashes or technical problems, comply with legal obligations, or protect our rights and users. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through Daily Athan. Where information is transmitted over the internet, we use secure encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We continuously work to improve the security and reliability of the application.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Information stored locally on your device may remain until you change the relevant setting, clear application data, or uninstall the application. The retention period for information processed by third-party services may be determined by those providers' respective policies.

Daily Athan is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to providing the application's functionality. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Daily Athan may be used by people around the world. Depending on the services used by the application, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you live. Where applicable, we take reasonable measures to protect information processed through our services and third-party providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, new features, changes in third-party services, changes in applicable laws, or changes to our data practices.
